Brandon Mitchell Lanie “Buddy” died tragically at the tender age of 14 when he was mistaken for a deer while deer hunting on November 18, 2006. Brandon was a freshman in High School. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had such a love for the outdoors and more patience than most people can even understand.

The BLESS organization was established to help build a better outdoors through education and awareness.  We believe this was a very preventable tragedy, losing a child is an unimaginable nightmare.  If BLESS can help prevent another family from losing a child, or any loved one, then we feel we have accomplished our goal.

If everyone were as safety conscious as Brandon was, tragedies such as this could be prevented.

PLEASE REMEMBER:
KNOW YOUR TARGET AND BEYOND

What do you think about letting youngsters (10-12 yrs old) hunt without completing a safety course?
It's a really good idea
No, the risk is too big for all
As long as they're closely                   supervised, it's OK
